I don't see why they couldn't provide a variation for the 2012 to retain the defectors but frankly I think the deflectors on the 12 look like a crappy afterthought. Since the Clearview shield is more sturdy since it needed more material than stock, thicker due to the reverse curve option that I wanted, perhaps their hole alignment suffered from that added material.
